Easton Silva, Frank's grandson, raises a variety of heritage chickens because they are cold-hardy, docile, disease resistant, and have great foraging capabilities. Heritage food sources grow slower and provide less quantity, yet contain more nutrients than commercially hi-breed chickens. These Ameraucana Chickens lay 3-4 medium-sized light blue and green eggs per week.
